10.20.03 - New Tour Dates, Rubber Meets The Road Tour, New Songs

9.7.03 - New Consistency Featured on Compilation CD
Ari is featured on a brand new compilation CD called DecentXposure (volume 1) along with many other great artists.  You can stream the new studio version of Consistency directly from the website.  In addition, DiscoveringArtists.com will be giving away free copies of the CD over the next several weeks.

Ari Featured on the Brand New Site DiscoveringArtists.com
DiscoveringArtists.com, the brainchild of Dan Galimidi and Kristen Pasculli, was launched just a week and a half ago, and features Ari as their first "Featured Artist".  He also has his own page under the "Artists" section.  Be sure to check both the site and forum frequently, as they'll constantly be making additions to develop and expand this brand new site.

7.7.03 - Strangers Again featured on Winter Break The Movie Soundtrack
The sound track to the upcoming movie Winter Break, which was produced by FreshTracksMusic, features the Story After Story version of "Strangers Again", along with music by many other great artists.  The movie itself is scheduled for release to DVD in September.  You can listen to "Strangers Again" along with all of the other tracks at Winter Break the Movie's website.

6.16.03 - Ari Featured in the June 03 Issue of Performing Songwriter, Plus New Interview

5.16.03 - New News Articles - Ari Plays with Oakland A's Pitcher Barry Zito
During Ari's recent run of shows in California, he was written up twice.  The first time in the San Diego Union-Tribune, as a preview for his San Diego show on May 6th, "Hard Working Ari Hest Mines the Stories of his Life" discusses Ari's music background and praises Story After Story.  At Ari's May 8th show in San Francisco, Cy Young Award winning ballplayer Barry Zito took the stage to play some songs with Ari.  His sister, Sally Zito opened the show.  You can read all about it on the MLB.com article "Zito Lends Hero Hest a Hand".  In late April, Plugged In Music did an interview with Ari.  You can read the article here on the Plugged in Music website.

Even More Festival Dates
Ari will be taking the stage with many other great acts this summer as he is currently scheduled to play several festivals.  In addition to Feeling Better than Everfine, Ari will also be playing at the Lincoln Park Festival (Chicago) and Summerfest (Milwaukee). 4.20.03 - New Song Being Played
At recent shows, Ari has been playing an as of yet untitled new song that he says he wrote with Norah Jones in mind.  We'll try to have this song available shortly for you to listen to.

3.30.03 - Ari to play at Feeling Better Than Everfine Festival
This festival, which started last year, showcases many emerging artists, and features both regional and local acts.  Ari is slated to play at this festival, which takes place on June 28th, 2003, at the Tower City Amphitheatre in Cleveland, OH.  Many other talented acts are also scheduled to play - several of whom have played with Ari before.  For more info check out the Feeling Better Than Everfine website.

3.7.03 - Even More New Tourdates!

2.3.03 - Barry Zito talks about Ari
Cy Young Award Winning baseball player, Barry Zito, talks about Ari and his music on mlb.com  Barry and his sister, Sally - who is a singer/songwriter - both enjoy Ari's music.  Barry, also a musician, says "I've discovered a new guy, from New York actually, his name is Ari Hest, he's like so kick ass man".  You can read about Barry here, and to access the streaming real file where he talks about Ari, click on "Barry and Sally Zito Talk Music".
